SAP Workflow event trace and diagnosis tools

Event trace - SWELLS
In-order to find out what events are trigger for a particular SAP transaction/process you can use the event trace functionality:

Step 1 - Execute transaction SWELS
Step 2 - Run desired SAP transaction / process
Step 3 - Execute transaction SWEL
This executes the trace report which displays all the objects/events triggered since trace was turned on. Also shows existing workflows associated with these events and if they triggered ok. Can also drill down for further details.

Step 4 - Execute transaction SWELLS to turn off event trace

Workflow diagnosis - SWUD
Within this transaction you can run various tools to help you diagnose your workflows.

Workflow trace - Tick the trace box and press the 'start task' button.
Show trace file - Click the 'display workflow trace' button
Container monitor - This turns on the container monitor which when you run the workflow trace it also shows values contained in each container.

Troubleshoot workflows in error - SWI2_DIAG
Troubleshoot wf's in error and restart

Workflow administrator - SWIA
Process work item manually, forward to another person, or replace.
